Water Ch. 5 - Complicated

(Circa 2011)  Relieved knowing she had all the work done that she had to do, she could get her jammie's on and relax a little while before attempting to sleep.  She had a great day meeting with clients and she felt good about that.  She was always happy when work was going well and it could take her mind off her past, and her broken heart.  However, most days it was a temporary fix and now that she has seen Jon again, she's going to have to work twice as hard to get a moment of mental peace.  She grabbed the remote and started surfing the channels. The stations in Red Bank were the same as home so she was able to find her favorite shows, for Thursday night. 

Water Ch. 4 - She Don't Know Me

(Circa 2011)She was finished meeting with clients and just wanted to go back to her room and sleep.  The little cat nap that she had taken with Jon left her even more exhausted, she thought.  She swung into Willy's and got a steak sandwich.  Lugged all of her stuff back up to her room, sat at the table and ate her lunch/dinner.  When she finished eating, she unpacked a few things after she decided she was only going to stay one more night.  She had planned on staying through the weekend and running over to Amanda's for an afternoon - but seeing Jon made her change plans.  She was heading back into the city in the morning - back to her corner of chaos, back to the life she made for herself.  In a city of over 5 million people, she could easily get re-lost and not have to worry about running into him again.  He didn't know where she was currently living, when he told her they were done - she was living in Los Angeles, CA.

He broke her heart the night they were to go to the Emmy's together.  It was a night she will never forget. A night she wishes she could forget.  It was the first night that they were to appear in public together.  She was devastated, humiliated and heart broken.  She wanted to die.  Rumors flew about her and Jon and they managed to keep their relationship private.  Beth didn't do that for Jon, she did it for herself.  She knew what she was getting into when she accepted his invitation to dinner, six years ago. 

Water Ch. 3 - Never Say Goodbye

(Circa 2011)  Beth had to pull away, she had to stop what was about to happen.  She wants nothing more than to make love with him, she wants to feel ever inch of him feeling every inch of her.  She could remember how wonderful he felt and how wonderful he made her feel.  She remembers how sweet he tasted and how great they were together.  She wanted all of that, right now!  But she didn't want to hurt like she did before and she knows that this will not end well.
She eases herself away from Jon and looks at him with tears in her eyes.  She can't talk, the lump in her throat is too big.  Fixing her blouse, she scoots off the end of the bed. 

Water Ch. 2 - Living with Sin

(Circa 2011) Beth had to go to Red Bank for business, and the very thought of that made her tense.  But, business was business and it needed to be done.  She was a stock broker and had a few clients in the Red Bank/Middletown area.  She figured she would pay them all a visit while she was in the area.  It wasn't far from her office in New York City, but again while in the area why not pay them all a visit?  Deciding to make a mini vacation of it, she left the city Wednesday afternoon and checked into the Oyster Point Hotel.  Red Bank was only 50 miles by car from the city, but the traffic was hell either way.  Maybe she could meet up with Amanda, now that Amanda has returned her call. 

Water Ch. 1 - Never Again

Pressing delete was the hardest thing she ever had to do, but she knows it needs to be done. She can't keep living this way, and neither can he. Chance made them bump into one another, and now strength will have to keep them apart. She had loved him from the day she laid eyes on him in 2005, and has never loved another even close to that. He was her everything and she couldn't imagine life without him. And she thought he felt the same - but he wasn't able to make any changes and she wasn't sure if she wanted him to.
