Water Ch. 88 - Army of One

Seeing her cry, made him want to cry, she wanted to die. He walked up to her, grabbed her and asked, "What are you crying for? Are you not happy about it?"  He holds her tight, letting her know he was there for her and that he's happy about it.


She buries her face in his chest and just cries. When she's able to talk between sobs she says, "You weren't supposed to find out yet!" And she cries even harder.

"Hey, hey..."  He stands there and holds her, rubbing her back and kissing her head. "How long have you known, Beth?"

That gives her an instant chill, he rarely calls her by her given name. It's always one pet name or another, but he just called her Beth. Wiping a tear from her cheek he asks again, "When did you find out?"

"When I had my cast taken off." She tells him, so sad that he's finding out this way. She is so pissed at herself for not putting the vitamins away? Why is she pissed? She didn't know he was coming.

She pulls away and starts to straighten up the room that Stephanie will be sleeping in, fluffing pillows and making sure the TV and radio works alright. Beth had some jackets and books on that bed, so she went to open the closet and as she passed Jon, he grabbed her wrist.

"Can we talk about this?" He pleads with her.  She looks down at his hand, holding her wrist.

Still crying, she says, "Your kids are coming, this place isn't even close to ready. Will you go to the store, please."

Jon's mind is going a mile a minute. He can't believe what he's just found out. He's beyond thrilled about it and he sees Beth being more concerned about his children coming to visit than she is about sharing the news with the father to be. Why?

He does what any strong minded and stubborn man would do. He walks over and sweeps her off of her feet and takes her into THEIR bedroom and lays her on the bed. At first she fought, but she did know him well enough to know that it would be pointless.

He sits next to her and raises her shirt and rubs her belly. He looks her in the eye and says, with a smile on his face and in his eyes, "We're having a baby!"

Beth nods and says, "We are." And her tears start to roll again.

"Hey, come on, what's wrong? Are you not happy about this babe?" He's getting a little concerned. He needs her to talk.

"This is not how I pictured this to go. Want a terrible way for you to find out. I had this whole scenario in my mind and you finding my vitamins wasn't it." She whimpers.

He stops rubbing her belly and leans over and kisses all over it, and says while kissing, "Babe, you're going to have my baby. You're going to be a mother." Beth put her hands on his head and followed where he went with his kisses.

He thought he could be sneaky and slide a hand down the front of her panties and said, "I've missed you, so much. I want to make love to celebrate our union and the baby we are going to have?" He looks up at her and her eyes are closed. She's still following his head with her hands and doesn't stop him.

She does however remind him that his children are coming and she needs to her the house ready. He tells her, "The kids would love to help us with that when they get here, specially Jesse." 

He slowly pushes her shorts and panties down towards her feet, caressing each leg and focusing his kisses on her belly, on his baby.  The shorts and panties make it to her feet and she kicks them off.  He stands up and drops his jeans and boxers to the floor, takes off his pullover and tosses it on a chair.  Once he's naked, he climbs on top of her and straddles her, making sure he's not putting any pressure or weight on her belly.  He reaches down and pulls her shirt up and off her. 

She's laying there naked, in front of him and he looks down at her and says, "You are going to be the sexiest pregnant woman ever."  He eases himself down on her and gently kisses her lips.  She responds by putting her arms around him and holds him close.  She doesn't want to let him go, and given the certain circumstances, she shouldn't have too.  They are starting a family, adding to his family.  She wants to be with him forever.  The kissing goes on for a few minutes before Beth reminds him that the kids are still expected.  He takes a finger, puts it on her lips and says "ssshhhh."

It's time for them to become one.  He eases himself into her and they are one + one.  He looks at her face and he sees the look of pleasure.  And they begin to make love.  She cannot get enough of him, she wants all of him, not only mentally and emotionally, but physically too.

He strokes her hair and asks, "When do we want to tell the kids that they're going to have another brother or sister?"

Not prepared for a question like that, Beth gets up on her elbow and looks at him with a look that he hadn't seen.  "I think we should wait, it's still really early. I'm just pregnant."  She smiles as she tells him that.  "Just pregnant.  Had to have happened on the yacht." 

"I love that yacht, we need to finish our vacation on that - soon.  But, I think we can tell the kids."

"Jon, I have only told Amanda.  No one else knows.  I managed to go to my doctor with out cameras in my face."

He sits up and leans against the headboard, and says, "The kids would be so happy to know, you know that.  They love you and they will love that you and their daddy are going to have a new baby."  She needs to stop this conversation, simply because of the last few weeks.

Beth reminds Jon, "I was on some questionable medication when we conceived.  I go back to the OB in three weeks and have some measurements and testing done.  My doctor doesn't think I have anything to worry about, the warfrin isn't the one in question, it's the Vicodin.  But she said the dose was too small and everything should be fine.  But I want to be sure."  The look on his face went from sexual satisfaction to concern, deep worry. 

He puts his hand under her chin, having her look at him and he says, with certainty, "She will be just fine.  And she will be as beautiful as her mother."  He smooches her forehead.

"She?  You thinks it will be a girl?"  Beth asks, laughing at his confidence.  "She?"

"Do you want to place a bet?  I bet it's a girl?" he jokes. 

"I'll take that bet.  What do I get when I win?" Beth questions.  "It needs to be good, too."

"Okay, if you win, you get the vineyard.  If I win, you marry me." He says with all the confidence that he has in his sexy body, he knows she will marry him. 

Beth gets up from the bed and grabs her robe.  "You better have your lawyer draw up the paperwork, that vineyard is mine."  She laughs as she walks into the bathroom.  "You better get your ass up too, the kids will be here soon."  She freshens up and goes into her bedroom to put her pajama's back on.  He's sleeping.  She takes a quilt that Brian's mom made for her and covers his naked body and closes the door as she leaves the room.

She goes on about her business and takes care of what needs to be taken care of in the house, before the Bongiovi crew arrives.  The three bedrooms are ready, clean linen and cleans towels and wash cloths in each bathroom.  Soaps, shampoo and conditioner in the room for Stephanie.  She put some of her fashion magazines in there and a few other books, just in case Steph wants to read or just be alone. 

The room that she got ready for Jake and Romeo was easy to do.  She put breakables up high, clean linens and a few little toys that she had picked up over the years.  They were given to her as jokes, but Beth saved everything.  A couple pf puzzles, coloring books and crayons, and some word searches.  She knows they're a little young, but they're there, just in case.

Jesse's room was the smallest, it had a pull out couch and a desk in it.  She pulled the bed out, made it and got the room ready for a teenage boy.  She set the computer up for him, made space on the desk.  Her home work station was always organized clutter.  But it was ready for a boy.  Brian liked to play video games on the computer, so she pulled those out and the controllers.  There were a few men's magazines that she couldn't make her self throw away after Brian died.  Jesse's room was done.  Now all she needed to do was make a space for Lupetta.  She had the living room and the formal living room.  She looked at both and thought she would be more comfortable the formal lining room.  That was a little more private and away from the main part of the house.  That had a leather sectional couch in there and a wide screen high definition TV.  Beth made up part of the couch as a bed for Lupetta and made sure the TV was working right.  She turned a lamp on to give the room a relaxing feeling, as she could imagine that Lupetta was exhausted. 

When she was finished taking care of the sleeping situation, she focused her attention on the kitchen.  She looked in her fridge and thought, "Fuck, there is nothing in here kids will like."  She looked at the clock on the microwave and called Tammy.

"Hello?" Surprised that Beth was calling after 8:00pm

"Tam, I am so sorry to bother you, but I need a huge favor." she sounds desperate.

Tammy says, "Anything, what do you need?"

"Jon was here when I got home and later told me the kids will be here soon.  I have no food for them here, can you run to the grocery store and get me kid food?  I have no idea what kids eat, you do.  You're still one."  And she laughs.  "I could really use your help here.  Jon is sleeping and I have no idea when they will get here, so I don't want to leave."

Tammy stops her, "Yes, I'll go.  I need to go for myself too.  I'll see ya soon." She reassures her boss, and cements her position in concrete a little more.

"Hey, use my card to pay for it all, even yours.  You're the best!  See ya soon."  And they hung up.

Beth walked around, giving the place a once over.  She made sure her vitamins were taken care of and any breakable, replaceable things were wither put up or put away.  She was ready for a house full of kids and she was excited about it.  She loved his children.  They are beautiful, smart and very kind hearted.  They haven't been effected by the spotlight that their dad is always in, and she looked forward to getting to know them even more.  And she's pleased that this is happening with Dorothea's blessing.
