Water Ch. 110 - Gotta Have A Reason

Her favorite little man woke her up by saying, "Bef, Bef." as he pulls up her eye lids.  "Beffffff."

"Good morning little man."  She says with a little finger in her eye.

Romeo climbs up next to her and lays in his dad's spot.  Puts his head on the pillow and pulls the covers up.  Just then Jon pops in the doorway, "Romeo we are supposed to let her sleep." he says as he smiles at his son.  "Good morning babe, how did you sleep?"

Beth stretches and yawns, "I think pretty good, until I had a finger in my eye.  And you?"  Jon leans over her and kisses her.

"I slept like a rock, until I had a finger in my eye too.  He's been up for a while.  Do you want some decaf?"

She laughs, "We can't call it coffee any more?  We gotta call it decaf?  I would love a cup of decaf coffee."  She sits up in bed, holding the covers over her breasts, since they slept naked.  "I'll get it though, can you hand me a shirt or something."

Jon hands her one of his tshirts and she's able to slip it on without Romeo seeing anything.  Knowing that she has to get out of bed with no panties on, Jon picks up Romeo and says, "Come on son, we'll meet Beth downstairs."  And they leave the bedroom.  Beth grabs Jon's watch that's on the nightstand and checks the time; 6:58.

She gets up an goes to the bathroom, brushes her teeth, puts on panties, yoga pants and heads off to the kitchen, to see 2 of her favorite boys.  When she gets into the kitchen, Jon and Romy are sitting in the breakfast nook and Romeo is eating some Fruit Loops.  Jon gets up, kisses Beth again and gets her a cup of coffee.  Decaf.  Handing her the coffee, he tells her that he loves her.

She plants her lips on his cheek and whispers, "I love you too."  Jon and Beth sit down with Romeo and try to decide what they are going to do with the day.  Beth tells Jon, "I'd like to check out town, if you don't mind?"

"I was thinking that too.  When the kids get up, we could take a walk into town.  I'd like to look around.  I was wondering if they had a recording studio here."

"Really?  A recording studio up here, why?"

Looking out the window at the neighborhood, Jon says, "I could come up here for a few days and record.  It's really nice up here."

Beth agrees with him and adds, "Couldn't we move up here?  This place feels very homey to me."

"I don't know about that.  Moving up here might be a little tough, with the kids.  But there isn't any reason we couldn't come up here often."

"Why would it be tough with the kids?"  Beth asks, wondering what he was thinking.  Moving up here would be fine for the kids.  It's a great area.

Jon tells her that with the impending divorce, a visitation schedule might prove to be too difficult living in upstate New York.  She gives him a puzzled look and he sees that, so he says, "I guess we'll have to see where the closest airport is."

"Hon, we don't have to move up here.  But I would like to come up here regularly.  I can't tell you how nice it's been not having people out on the street checking the place out." she confesses, and she lets Jon see that that bothers her, too.

Romeo is finished eating so he gets down and runs off.  Beth jumps up to follow him.  She really just wanted a hug from her favorite little boy.  "Romeo."  He stops running and stops to look back at Beth.  She holds out her hands so she can pick him up.  Smiling at her, he runs to her and she swoops him up.  She kisses his little cheeks and gives him hugs.  "let's go wake your brothers and your sister up."  Romeo bounces in Beth's arms, indicating that he's excited about waking the kids up.

She starts up the stairs and she hears, "I really wish you wouldn't pick him up, and especially carry him up the stairs."

Looking back down the stairs at him, she says, "Knock it off Jon, I'm pregnant, not handicapped."  At the top of the stairs she put Romeo down and takes his hand and they head into Jesse's room.  Jesse is sound asleep and Romeo goes to open his eye too, to be sure.  Jesse rolls over and faces away from Romeo.  Beth tells Romeo, "He's sleeping, ssshhhh, let's go check on Stephanie."  And they do.  Romeo leads the way, holding Beth's hand the entire time.

The family gets up and everyone gets ready to walk into town.

Town is quaint, welcoming and very friendly.  The Bongiovi/Adams family has a great day in town and head back to the house just before dinner.  For dinner they ordered pizza from the family pizza shop in town and after dinner, they headed back to the city.

When they pulled into the driveway of the Red Bank house, Jon noticed the gate was open and there was a black car service car in the driveway.  Beth asked, "Who's here?"

"I have no idea.  No one is supposed to be.  Matt's car is gone."  Jon put the car in park and he told her to wait a minute, he was going to see who it was.

Jake and Romeo fell asleep on the car ride, Steph and Jesse were just waiting for the all clear to go in.

A few minutes later, Jon came out yelling, "Jesus Christ, will you please go away!  You have no right to be here!!"  He's animated and angry and right behind him comes Dorothea.

Jon walks over to the Denali and opens Beth's door.  "It's okay to go in.  It's only her."  Stephanie and Jesse get out of the car and each grab a younger brother.  They are wiser beyond their years and Beth knows they took them in so they weren't woken by their mother and father on the verge of a big fight.

Once all 4 kids are in the house, Beth asks, "What's going on?"

"When did you redo my bedroom, you stupid bitch?"  Dorothea screams at Beth.  Beth still seated in the car, unfastens her seatbelt and gets out of the car, floored by what she just heard?

Her gut response, isn't the one she needed to use, so all she said was, "Do you eat with that mouth, Dorothea?"  Beth grabs her purse from the center of the seat and starts to walk into the house.

"Dorothea, go home." Jon demands.

Dot responds with, "I"m not leaving, this is my house.  She can leave!"

Jon stopped dead in his tracks and turned around and met Dorothea face to face.  Calmly he says, "She is going no where, and if you do not leave right now I will call the police and have you removed."

Beth is standing there watching this unfold and recalls how pissed she was yesterday when she learned of Dorothea hiring a private investigator.  She can't stay silent.  She walked over the where Jon and Dorothea are and is greeted with, "This is none of your damn business, go back to California." Dot says to her.

"Dorothea, look - this is the way this is going to go.  You are going to get in your rented car, that Jon paid for, and you're going to leave.  Jon and I are going to go in the house and put the children to bed.  And then we will go to bed.  If you have questions or complaints, I suggest you contact your attorney and do this all the right way. Jon and I have no time for this, please leave."

"When did you redo my bedroom?  MY BEDROOM?" Dot asks, getting louder with each syllable.

Beth wants so bad to answer her, she wants so bad to be sarcastic - but Jon beats her to it.  "We had it redone the day you moved out."  There was no truth to that, and his comment will make Dot go crazy with the timeline, but it was already out there.

"Dorothea, we got along.  What happened?  What has you so angry lately?"  Beth asks her and she wants to know what's changed.  "Why did you feel the need to spy on me, long after I was in your life? What's going on?"

Dot looks at her like she has 100 heads and speaks a language she's never heard, "Are you serious?  What's changed?  Nothing has changed, I'm just not losing my family without a fight.  I'm NOT losing my husband without a fight."  That was all the cue Jon needed, he stepped between the two women and was facing Beth.

"Please move Jon.  This isn't going to get physical, I'm a lady with class and won't stoop to her level."  And she puts her hand on Jon's arm and gives him a gentle push.

"Do you really consider yourself a lady, sleeping with a married man?  A married man with 4 children?"  Dot barks at Beth.

"Just go Dorothea.  We don't need this now, it's late."  Pleads Jon.

  1. Beth needs to put Dorothea in check. How dare she go into Jon's home when he is not there and snoop around! That woman has lost her mind.
Now after the papers have been signed and they are just weeks away from their divorce being final does Dorothea decide to fight for her husband. Someone needs to give her a clue.
