Water Ch. 120 - Next 100 Years

Beth had always hated long airplane rides, but this one she didn't mind.  The best part was that it was a private plane, with tons of leg room and kids that she loved to hang out with.  Jon and the guys were sitting together talking about the shows, toward the back of the plane, away from the chaos and chatter.

Jon and Beth were the only ones that brought kids, and Beth wanted to keep them as busy as possible.  It wasn't planned that they were coming, but she was going to make it the best time that she could.  She was determined to make it a fun two weeks, for the kids and most of all for Jon.  She felt that Jon needed some Jon time, and she was going to try her best to give it to him.

Beth and the kids started out playing video games, but that was mind numbing to her.  She needed them to get active and use their brain.  Struggling with trying to find something to do, she decided she would get them involved in a game of charades. Stephanie and Jesse loved the idea, while Jake and Romeo sat and watched.  The three of them were cracking each other and themselves up, having a great time 30,000 feet in the air.  

The silliness of the game and its noise caught the attention of David. Uncle David as the kids call him came forward in the cabin and asked, "What's all the noise?" Seeing Jesse trying to be a teapot. Dave sat next to Beth who had Romeo on her lap.  He's still laughing at what Jesse is trying to demonstrate to Stephanie.  David elbowed Beth and told her, "I haven't seen these kids laugh like this in a long time. If I had known you were doing daycare, I would have brought the twins."  

"It's not daycare Dave, I love spending time with these guys. They are so much fun". Directing her attention to Stephen, she says, "It's your turn chicky pooh."  Stephanie had taken her turn and no one could figure out that she was, and by this time, Romeo and Jake were bored.  

Tired and thirsty from bring silly the kids went and got some juice boxes and snacks, bringing one for Beth.  "Thank you Romeo." She says, as the youngest Bongiovi hands her her juice box.  The tv is on, so one by one Beth lost their attention. She didn't mind, they had many hours to play games and be silly.  Venice didn't know what was headed their way.......

Landing in the middle of the night is always the easiest for the band. They liked to fly in under the cover of darkness, and get to their hotel before anyone even knew they arrived.  Two vans carried the clan and dropped them at their hotel.  The trip to the hotel wasn't very long, but it was long enough to put Romy and Jake to sleep.  Thankfully Uncle Richie was there to carry a little one in, Beth didn't think she should.  Everyone gets checked in and sets the time that that all will meet for breakfast. 8:00 is the popular choice.

Jon and Beth had a suite, with plenty of space and privacy. Together they got little ones into bed and spent a few minutes with the older ones.  In the living room of the suite, they talk a little bit about everything and out of nowhere Jesse asks, "When will your divorce be final, dad?"  Beth takes that as a cue to leave them to talk. She gets up and Jon says, "Hey, where are you going?"

She turns around and simply says, "To bed, so you guys can talk." 

"You don't have to." States Jesse, and his tone told her to sit and be part of the conversation.

"Ok, I'll stay. Are you sure you want me to?"  All three of them tell her to stay.  At that moment, she knew she was accepted. She couldn't help but smile.  She sat next to Jon, practically on Jon.

Jon needed to answer Jesse's question and he wasn't going to bullshit his kids or candy coat the truth. "Well, when we get home from this trip, it should be almost done.  It's all worked out, we are just waiting the mandatory waiting period.  Why do you ask, Jess?"

"I'm sick of the way mom is acting."

Stephanie jumps in as fast as she can.  "You should hear her dad.  She never says anything nice about Beth, and she doesn't even know her.  I hate that."

"Your mom is in a place that she's not happy with, right now. But she'll get there someday.  You kids need to know, I tried and tried - I just wasn't able to do it anymore." He puts his hand on Beth's leg and gives it a little squeeze.  "I was finding myself miserable and I needed to be away from your mom."

"We know dad." Replied Stephanie and Jesse shook his head in agreement.

Jon needing to be extremely clear with his kids tells them, "And you two need to know that Beth had nothing to do with it.  Beth and I met back stage way after I filed for divorce." He puts his arm around Beth and follows up with, "She came into my life at the right time. Kids, I love her more than I can even put into words." Both kids smile at their dad, because they were very find of her as well.

Stephanie, with her pull no punch Bongiovi personality asks, "Will you and Beth get married, dad?"

Jon looks to Beth and she can see it in his eyes, she can see he is practically bursting at the seams. What can she do? They need to know and they need to find it out in the right way. She nods her head and he took the lead.

"Steph, Jess there are a couple things you need to know and I want you to find out from us. Not your mom or the press.  Beth and I are planning on getting married as soon as she picks a date and starts planning it, but there is some else." He takes a deep breathe and leans forward on the couch, puts his hand on Beth's leg and she grabs his hand. "Beth is pregnant, with twins." And they both wait for their reaction.

Stephanie bounces in her seat, "Really dad? Twins?"

Beth jumps in and tells them, "We heard their heartbeats when we went to the doctor, when we got back to the east coast. Two little heartbeats" she can't help but smile, she is so excited herself and to see Steph excited too, made her smile even more.

"Jesse James, are you okay?" Jon asks his oldest boy. "What do you think?"

Jesse looks at both his dad and Beth and says what a teen boy would say, "That's cool dad. Maybe I can get another sister, since I don't like this one." And he pushes Stephanie over on the couch.

"No one knows except grandma, grandpa and uncle Richie. Please keep this to yourselves, please." He feels terrible asking them to keep a secret, but they understand. "IF" and he emphasizes if, "IF your mom asks if she's pregnant, I don't want you to lie. Ever. Okay?"

"We know dad. Your secret is safe with us. Can we go to bed now?" Stephanie asks.

"Of course." Beth tells them. "Breakfast at 8:00 remember." 

The kids say okay and head to their rooms. Jon and Beth are left alone in the living room. He turns sideway just so he can kiss her. His arms around her neck and passionate kisses followed with, "Thank you!"

"Why are you thanking me?" She is a little puzzled.

"You may not know this, but its been rare for the kids to travel overseas with me, on tour. Dot never wanted to be bothered and when she did, she always brought Lupetta. Lupetta was stuck with them the whole time.  I hated it." He pauses again so he can kiss on her some more. "The way you entertained them and kept them occupied was great. I am so so happy that all 5 of you are here with me. We're going to have a great time."

"Honey, your kids are important to me, not because they are yours, but because they are wonderful children.  For me to have this time with them will move us forward leaps and bounds. I look forward to it." 

She leans over and puts her head on his lap. He runs his fingers through her hair, telling her, "I love you."

"I love you too!  Are you ready for bed? I'm exhausted." she asks her rockstar. 

He cracks her on the ass and says, Yep, let's go. I want to kiss you all over."

She laughs, gives that some thought and says, "As much as I would love your lips all over my body, I really think I would love to kiss you all over. After we shower."

"Awww, we have to shower?" He whines.

Beth knows that he knows how she feels about traveling, "Babe, you know I have to shower after traveling. I always feel grimy. Not sexy at all.  Lets go!"

She gets up and holds her hand out, and he takes it. She leads him into the master bath and starts the water. Knowing how it's going to go - she places a finger on his chest and says, "This is just a shower.  In and out."
