Water Ch. 137 - When I Look In Your Eyes - I'm Just Happy I Can

With herself wrapped tight in the arms of the man that she loves with all that she has, she can't help but feel betrayed.  She feels that regardless of why he hid that from her, it never should have happened.  They love one another and after the rocky start that they have had, they shouldn't lie or hide anything.

She was hurt and angry all at the same time, and as she heard him finally doze off to sleep, she was able to put her thoughts together and realize that he did do it for them, for her.  She laid there and tried really hard to put herself in Dot's position, but she couldn't.  Beth lost the man that she loved, forever.  He died and took a part of her with him and she knows that void can never be filled.  Dorothea is losing her marriage, totally different and she can't get into the mindset of suicide.  Not once did Beth even entertain the idea of taking her own life.  Sure she wanted the pain to go away, and death may have done that, but she was much stronger and knew that she would rise above it and be a better person because of it.  Brain was her life, and when she lost him - she never believed that she would be without him.

Beth decided that she would return the call tomorrow, but she will takes Jon's "advice" and wait until the bed rest order is lifted, to go see her.  She would never forgive herself and he would never forgive her if she went to the hospital to see Dot and the pregnancy complications got worse.  She would play by that rule, but her decision is final.  She's going to see Dot, and if she can help her - it's a win win for all involved.  She couldn't not help her, even after Jon said no.  But Dot cried out for help - Beth will be there.

She thought herself to sleep, and in her mind, she had slept like the dead.  The best rest she has had in quite a while.  Jon seemed to be rested as well, when they woke up.  Waking up and seeing her still in bed with him, Jon rolled to his side and was facing his baby's momma and he loved what he had seen.  "Good Morning, gorgeous.  How did you sleep?"

Beth stretched, yawned and said, "Good morning sexy!  How did you sleep?  I slept like a rock."  She rolls her head and kisses him.  Morning breath and all.  She didn't care.  She had never woke to such a beautiful sight and she was grateful and thankful that he was there with her.

"I think I slept like a rock, too.  I was whooped.  Want breakfast yet?"

Beth thinks for a minute, "No, maybe a glass of juice for my vitamin, that's all.  You?  Are you hungry?'

Jon smiles and says, "Yeah, but for nothing that's on our menus."  And he winks.  "How are you feeling?"

"I feel fabulous! Like I could run 5 miles." with a hint of sadness in her voice.  She would love to go for a run, but when on bed rest, that's not an option.

"I'll go get you some juice, do you want anything else?  How's your pain babe?" he leans over and kisses her before he gets out of bed.  He didn't want to get up, and leave her side, but she wanted juice.

She looks at him with curiosity, and gives him a silly look, "What do you mean pain?"

"You were hit pretty hard, I assume you have muscle soreness?  Am I wrong?" he responds, knowing that she has soreness, at the least and could even be in pain.  He wants her comfortable and in bed. He also knows that she will downplay all of it, so he needs to keep an eye on her.

She sits up in bed, fluffs her pillow and claps her hands, "Chop chop, where's my juice?"  She sits back and grabs the remote.  Clicking on the news, their accident was played over and over and she couldn't believe that even the day after, it was still news.  The reporter, repeats that the driver that hit them is fine and home.  Alcohol was not a factor, he just didn't see the stop sign and ran right into the Denali.

"Beth, do you want anything else?  Fruit, yogurt, toast?"  Standing there, looking at her with impatience in his eyes.

"No babe, just the juice.  I think my vitamins are in the bathroom." she really doesn't remember where they are.

He goes down downstairs and gets her a big glass of orange juice and himself a cup of coffee.  Grabbing the morning paper off the counter, he heads back upstairs.  As he gets closer to their bedroom, he can hear Beth talking.  That makes him hurry up a little more.

"Yes, I can do that.  However, I am on bed rest from the accident yesterday.  I can call you when the 'order' is lifted."  and there is a hint of sarcasm in her voice, when she uses the word order.

Jon sits next to her on the bed and mouths, "Who is that?"

Beth flips the phone up, smiles and whispers "It's Dorothea."  And she sees the look of pissed off come over his face.

"Did she call you?"

Beth nods yes.  "Ok, I'll call you in a few days.  If you need anything, please call us."  Beth tells Dorothea just before hanging up the phone.  Jon hands her her juice and gets up to get her vitamin.

Yelling back to her as he's in the bathroom, "Do you really need to talk to her?"

"Jon she called, why wouldn't I talk to her?"

Handing her the horse pill, aka her vitamin "I think you need to not talk with her until you are better and off of doctors orders.  She has a way about her that makes ones blood boil. I don't want her stressing you out."

Beth rolls her eyes, "You keeping secrets and lying to me stresses me more than she ever could, Jon."

"Do we really have to do this now?"  he asks, taking his place next to her on the bed.  He reaches over and rubs her belly, "How are they doing?"

Beth puts her hands on his and holds them in place, "They are doing fine.  How are you doing?  You were jarred pretty good yesterday too.  Sore or anything?"

Shaking his head no, he questions, "Are you still spotting?"

"It's really light and not so bright, so I think it's healing.  It should be all better in a few days."  They both sit there with their hands on her belly, looking at one another, she starts to tear up a little.

"Hey, what's going on?" he sees the tears and he starts to worry.  "Talk to me babe." he kisses her cheek, kissing the tear off her cheek.

Beth just shakes her head no, trying to convince him that there really isn't anything wrong.  "When are the kids coming home?  I miss them.  Can you go get them?"

  1. Beth needs to tell Jon how she is feeling about him not telling the truth get it out into the open now before it festers an causes more trouble

  2. Why can't Jon or Beth express to the other person how they are truly feeling about certain situations? They frustrate me sometimes.
At least Beth has taken Jon's advice and decided to wait until after the bedrest order has been lifted before going to see Dorothea.
