Water Ch. 195 - The Right Side And Being Wronged

From the backseat of the cop car, Jon asks the officer that put him in the backseat, "What is this all about officer?"  With a big hint of anger in his voice.  The car pulls out of Jon's driveway and he is more than thankful that there are no reporters or fans at he end of his driveway.  It appears to Jon that all of this was hush hush, and that really makes him wonder what the hell is going on.

"Mr. Bon Jovi sir, I was sent here to get you for the NYPD.  I have no idea what the charges are, I was just told to get you and bring you in.  If I needed to arrest you, I had a warrant to do so.  Mr. Johnston from the New York prosecutor's office was pretty sure that you would come without incident." the young officer explains to Jon and Jon can see that he is nervous.

Jon looks behind to hopefully see Beth right behind them, but he knew better.  It's was 11:30 at night, she needed to call his mother and have her come sit with the kids.  All the staff had gone home for the day and the housekeeper wasn't a babysitter, so it was up to Beth to find a babysitter.

Beth ran around the huge house like a chicken with her head cut off.  Grabbing the phone, she dialed the Bongiovi residence knowing she was going to wake them up, but she is the only one that she wanted to call.  After a few rings, John answers the phone, from a sound sleep.  "Hello?"

"Dad, I need you to come over here, right away.  Jon was just arrested and taken away in a cop car.  Please hurry!"  Beth, on the verge of a scream, says to dad.

"Whoa, Beth - what happened?" he sits up in bed and reached over to wake Carol up.  Shaking her, he says, "Ma, get up.  Jon is in trouble."  Turning his focus back to Beth, "Ok dear, what happened?"

In a mild panic, as she slips her shoes on, "They took Jon to the police department for something.  The officer that was here wouldn't tell us.  He just told Jon to come with him, or he would arrest him.  Can you or mom come over please, I need to get to the police station."  She takes a deep breath.

"We'll be right there.  Wake Stephanie so you can leave, but we're on our way." Dad assures her, knowing that it isn't going to work.

Beth, not having that thought cross her mind thought it was a good one.  It was only for a few minutes, she can handle it until grandma and grandpa get there.  Going into Stephanie's room, Beth sees that she's not asleep.  "Hey, Steph."

"What's up?  I could hear some loud voices, is everything okay?" she asks Beth, knowing that her dad was the one that was loud.

"Your dad had to go into town to take care of some things.  I'm going to meet him there, can you listen for your brothers until your grandparents get here?  They are on their way."

"Yeah, no problem.  Go.  Go be with dad.  The boys will be fine." Stephanie can see that Beth needs to go.  She's pacing the floor and biting on her fingernail.  That's one of Beth's tells that Stephanie has picked on.

Beth reaches over and hugs the young lady that is growing up before her eyes.  "Thanks Steph.  I'll call you.  Listen for gram and gramp, okay?  The big guest room is ready, they can sleep in there.  I have my cell and your dads, call us if you need anything."  Beth kisses the top of her head, "Thank you."  And she leaves the eldest Bongiovi's bedroom.

Darting down the stairs, grabbing her purse, keys and Jon's man bag she bolts out the door and gets in the car closest to her, which was Jon's Denali.  Pressing the auto start, she's buckles her seat belt and puts the car in drive.  Going out the gate, she stops and sets the alarm so the gate closes behind her.  On her way to Middletown PD, she cannot imagine what the hell is going on.

There were only a few lights that she needed to wait at, but once she was through them - she made it to the PD in no time.  Parking the car, she runs in, with her arms full of cell phone, a bag and her purse.

"Ma'am, can I help you?" asks the night desk officer, having no idea who she was.

"Where did they take Jon Bon Jovi?" she asks, with a sound of authority in her voice.  "Where is he?"

The officer comes around the counter and guides her to a room.  "He's in here ma'am."  Opening the door and letting her in.  She walks up to Jon and hugs him so tight.

"What's going on?" she whispers in his ear, not letting him go.

Holding her tight, he can only tell her, "I have to wait for the New York ADA to get here.  Best I can figure, it's Dot or Dot related."

"God damn her.  She's never going to stop, is she?" Beth pulls away from Jon and paces around the single steel table that had just two chairs at it.  "When will it ever fucking end?"

"Babe, relax.  We don't know anything yet.  Let's save our energy for when we know.  How are mom and dad?"

"They weren't there when I left.  Stephanie was up and mom and dad were on their way.  She said she's keep an ear out for the boys."

He walks up to her and wraps his arm around her neck and holds her tight and close, right where he needed her to be.  "Thanks for coming so fast."

Darting her gaze up to his, "Did you really think that I'd stay home after that cop knocking on our bedroom door?"

The door opens, getting Jon and Beth's attention.  They look at the weasel of the man that had walked in the door.  Extending his hand, "Mr. Bon Jovi my name is Michael Anderson, deputy district attorney for New York county.  Please have a seat."

I"ll stand.  What is going on?" Jon demands to know, but he doesn't always get what he wants.

Mr Anderson sits in one of the two chairs and pulls a folder from his briefcase.  Setting it on the table, he starts with, "Mr. Bon Jovi, I had you brought in here to discuss with you some pretty tough accusations that are being made against you, regarding your wife, Dorothea." He looks to Jon, looking for a reading on his face or something in his body language.  NOTHING.

Running his fingers through his hair, "What is she saying now?  What is she up to?" he acts, and he sounds a little defeated.  Beth takes his hand and rests her head on his shoulder.

"Well, she is claiming that you went to the SOHO apartment that the two of you once shared and demanded that she sign the divorce papers."  Jon looks at him with a 'REALLY' look on his face.  "Well, Mr. Bon Jovi, she's claiming that you slapped her a couple of times and threw her on the floor.  On the way to the floor, she banged her head on the counter and was knocked unconscious."

"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" Beth mumbles under her breath, but Mr. Anderson heard it.

"These are pretty harsh accusations and given your fame and your position in the community, as a courtesy to you, I had you brought in privately.  I didn't think that we needed cops involved other than the one that came to get you - too many leaks in both police departments."

"Okay, so what are we doing now?" Jon asks Mr. Anderson, unaware of how you proceed in situation like this.

Mr. Anderson slides a legal pad across the table with a pen positioned on top, "Please write down your versions of what happened, please?"

"What version?  Nothing like that ever happened, and better yet - when did it happen?  Did you see these 'wounds'?" Jon asks, using air quotes where possible.

"The police report says that it happened last night, about 7:30pm."

Jon starts to laugh, even so hard that he has a tear in his eye.  That was funny!  "Last night?"  he looks around, "Let me the fuck out of here, I haven't seen that crazy bitch in days and it's been even longer than that since I went to the SOHO loft.  Jesus Christ."  He smacks the wall and continues laughing.

"She has some pretty nasty bruises and a staple in her head from when she hit the floor. Where were you last night about 7:30pm, Jon?"

Jon thinks for a minute, and he didn't need to.  He was with a force to be reckoned with and she made her voice known.  "He's was in Chicago doing an Oprah interview and we landed back here about 8:00pm.  From the Monmouth Executive Airport we came right home.  Jon never left New Jersey once we landed.  There are many witnesses to that as well.  She is lying out her ass."

"Is that true, Jon?"  Mr. Anderson asks him, wanting to corroborate Beth's story.

  1. Dorothea needs her ass kicked! How dare she accuse Jon of physically hurting her when she knows damn well he would never lay a hand on her. Dorothea is a Black belt in Karate.

  2. She must of had Dillion beat the crap out of her or he just did it. But like you said she's a black belt so who ever " " did it would of got the crap beaten out of them. So Jon would've known better, Dillion wouldn't have I don't think.
