Water Ch. 235 - Will Anybody Want What's Left Of Me?

The sun and the sand was exactly what Beth needed.  She took a deep breath as she sat on the beach, looking out over the families playing in the water.

She was alone, but by no means is she lonely. A tropical paradise alone, is just what the doctor ordered.  With her bikini and sunglasses on, she melts into the fabric of her chair and runs the events of last night through her mind.

Admitting to herself that she misses Jon was monumental for her, but she knows that she can't do anything about it.  She's in paradise now, waiting on her current boyfriend and Jon was wherever he was in the world.  She couldn't worry about him, but she couldn't stop thinking about him and about how wonderful he felt when he made love to her.  He knew just what to do and when to do it and that's what made them perfect for one another, when it came to love making.

Jon, back in New York City is getting ready to hit the tour road.  The couple days off at home was just what the doctor would have ordered for him, if he knew how stressed he was; now that he's seen Beth.  The car is waiting for Jon downstairs.  He goes down, throws his bags in the trunk and tells the driver to take him to Mercer St.  Jon needed to see his children before he left.

Walking up to the building from the car, Jon notices a couple of fans up the street.  Really not in the mood, he just waves and the group of girls about die.  He smiles and walks in the door.  The elevator ride up was quick and as soon as he got off the elevator, he could hear Jake and Romeo running like mad men and laughing.  THAT was music to Jon's ears.  With his key, he walks in and scares the boys.  When they see that it's dad, Romeo runs to his dad and wraps his arms around his legs, "Daddy!" the young boy yells.

Jon swoops both Jake and Romeo up and tell them both "Hello!  Where is your brother and sister?" as he looks around.  Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Dorothea walking toward them.

"Hi."

"Hey.  Where are Steph and Jess?" Jon asks the mother of his children.

"Steph is on the phone and Jesse is in his room.  I'll go get them." she says, as she passes by.  Jon watches as she walks away.  He kneels down on the floor, holding his boys and kissing each on the head.

"Daddy has to go, again." he tells the wee Bongiovi's.  They don't understand what he's saying, but it's Jon's way of saying goodbye to them.  He has his way of doing things.  He sits on the floor with the youngest until the older ones come down.  Stephanie and Jesse run down the stairs to greet their dad.

Stephanie says, "Hey, dad!"

"Hi Steph."

"Hi dad." Jesse says, walking up to his dad and giving him a hug.  Jon reaches over and messes Stephanie's hair up.

"I'm out of here, but only for 2 weeks.  I'll be home for Easter."  he tells all 4 children and Dot, who is standing in the doorway.  "You guys be good for your mom, and I'll get you as soon as I get back."

"Okay." Jesse mumbles.

Stephanie shakes her head, agreeing with what her dad just said.  They all hug him and kiss him goodbye and Jon goes back down to the car that's waiting for him.  He's taken to a private terminal at Newark airport where the band was waiting for him.

Climbing onboard the private jet, he's greeted by his tired and not so happy band.  They all are ready to put a period on this tour and take a much needed, long overdue break.  Jon gives each member a nod, and they all say Hi.  He takes his seat, the one that he always sits on and  buckles up.  Richie, sits across from him and asks him, "I heard Beth was in town."

Jon looks at him like he had seen a ghost.  "Who told you that?" Jon snaps at him.

"Heather told me she was here, flight delay or something?  Did you see her?" Richie asks Jon, not sure if Jon will be honest about it or not.  Richie knows that they spent the night together.  Beth had emailed Heather and told her all about it.

Jon nods his head yes.  "I seen her.  Ran into her in the lobby of our building."

"Our building? What do you mean?" Richie asks, unaware that Jon bought another piece of real estate, in Beth's building.

Jon explained the chance meeting in the lobby and wouldn't go into anymore detail than that.  He didn't want to have a long, exhausting conversation about the mistake that he made, just the night before.  But Richie knew Jon, he could see that something happened and that something is wrong.

"Wanna tell me what's eating at ya?" Richie questions him.  T

hey have reached cruising altitude and Jon unbuckles his seatbelt.  He stands up and tells Richie, "I told her we couldn't be together again, and she didn't take it well."  Jon walks away, to get a bottle of water.
Richie is sitting there with his mouth open and his thought is, "No fucking way."

  1. Jon talk to Richie. Tell him what happened between you and Beth. You need someone to vent to so tell him. As for Beth, I hope she has a lousy vacation.
