Water Ch. 153 - I Never Wanted The Stars

Beth's plane landed at 1:00pm, and her rental car was waiting for her when she arrived at the counter.

"Good Afternoon, Miss Adams." says the customer service agent.

"Good Afternoon."  She replies from behind the aviator sunglasses she has on.  Her 'disguise' also had her in a Bon Jovi ball cap.

"Your car is ready for you.  It's right this way."  And he reaches for her bags.  She hands them off to him and follows him to her car.  A Mercedes, her car of choice when she rents.  The agent pops the trunk and puts her luggage in it, once he has the trunk closed, he hands her the key.  "Have a safe trip."

"Thank you."  She says, taking the keys and getting into the car.  The CSA walks off and returns to his post inside.  Beth starts the car and pulls away.  Once she's on the road and realizes that she is taking a leap of faith, she starts to get nervous.

All she had was time to think, on her flight and now she had a ride that was a little over an hour.  What am I going to say?  What am I going to do?  I haven't seen him or touched him in over three weeks. Do I hug him?  Kiss him?  Oh my God, what am I going to do?  What will he look like, hair cut and bleached?  Will he smell the same?  Will he hug me or kiss me?  She really freaked herself out with those kind of thoughts, so she tried to find some distracting music on the radio.  Not much luck, so she left it on an easy listening station and knew nothing that she was listening to. She was so cut off from the music world, she didn't know anyone that was new or popular.

Over a river and through some woods she went, on her way to their house in Queensbury.  Her trip was pretty uneventful and she was pleased when she seen the house.  The yard had been maintained and the landscaping was gorgeous.  She pulled into the driveway and sat there for a few minutes and took it all in.  This is a house that I own with Jon Bon Jovi.  She shakes if off and gets out of the car.  Bags in hand, she goes into the house that someone had just cleaned.  Beth can still smell the furniture polish.  Jon must have had someone come in and clean before they got there.

Taking her bags upstairs to their bedroom, Beth stops and opens every window along the way.  She wanted the country air to fill the house.  It was a beautiful day in upstate New York, she was so glad that she decided to meet Jon.

With all of her things put away, she went into the kitchen and took a quick inventory of what they had for food and drink.  She quickly realized that they were in pretty bad shape and she made a list.  With her list, she went to the store and got what she thought that they might need for the weekend.

When she got back to the house, she seen that it was almost 4:00.  She has plans to make dinner for Jon, so she puts the groceries away and starts to prepare her favorite mango chicken.  Cutting, chopping, mincing and dicing - when she's ready to cook it, it's a little after 5:00.  She puts it in the oven and runs upstairs and gets in the shower.  She's thinking that Jon could show up at anytime, and she wanted to be ready.  With a quickness, she runs a razor all the important parts and gets out.  She didn't have anything fancy to put on, she hasn't had time to shop for baby bump clothes, but she knows that Jon loves to see her in short shorts and a tank top.  That's exactly what she put on.  Some Pink shorts and a matching tank top.  She just towel dried her hair and ran a comb thru it.  A squirt of his favorite perfume, here and there and she was ready for him to arrive.

Bouncing down the stairs, she can smell her chicken and it makes her really hungry.  Pulling open the oven door, she looks in on her chicken and likes what she sees. She picked up some fresh flowers at the market, so she clipped them off and added them to a vase, with some water.  She arranged them into a gorgeous centerpiece and then she set the table.  A table for two.  She was so excited.

With dinner slowly cooking, the table set and Beth ready - she waits for Jon.  Standing in the kitchen, she does a mental once over and remembers to get the pictures of the babies out of her purse.  She stands there and looks at them, concentrating on every little detail.  My girls, my baby girls.  They are going to be so spoiled.  One by one, she looks at them.  Trying to distinguish fingers and toes, she loves looking at their arms and legs.  She's having two babies.  That makes her smile and scares the hell out of her at the same time.  She sets the pictures on the island and putters around the house.

In the family room, she turns the TV on and sits down for a few minutes.  Beth was a news buff and wanted to see what was happening on this side of the country.  She watched TV for a little while and then went to check on her chicken.  Chicken is almost done - it's 7:00.  She lowers the oven temp and walks to the windows in the front of the house, looking out - watching for Jon.  After a few minutes of that, she wanders and paces aimlessly through the house.  She makes mental notes of the things she wants to do with and to the house.  Where she wants the nursery at.  She can see herself in that house with the family.  With Jon, the twins, Romeo, Jake, Jesse and Stephanie.

Time goes by so fast, when you're daydreaming.  Beth realizes that she has been in her 'happy place' for a while and runs in and checks on her chicken.  The chicken is done, at this point it's just right.  The mango made a nice covering on the chicken breast, to keep it moist; while it slowly penetrated the meat.  It smelled delicious and Beth was ready to eat.  But she wanted to wait for Jon.  With the stove turned down to warm and the chicken covered, she went upstairs to find her cell phone.

Maybe Jon tried to call?   No missed calls, no unread emails and no new text messages.  It's 8:00.  Jon is never late, for anything.

  4. He hasn't shown up yet.......Well Beth did say she would let him know!
assuming she didn't let him know that she could make it...what does she expect from the man!
Beth really needs to get over herself.

  5. She never told him she was going right? That's the way I took it so I wouldn't of showed up either. She needs the 1. make up her mind whether she wants a life with him and 2. word things more clearly! She's really stubborn on certain things and wants things to go her way I know Jon does too but she needs to bend too. I thought she knew what she was getting into when she decided to fool around w/Jon? HUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I wonder did she tell Jon she was coming out to see him or not? If she didn't then that would explain why he hasn't shown up.
Beth needs to make a decision on what kind, if any, of relationship she wants to have with Jon.
