It must be very difficult


To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry"
and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.

It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test,
And field the calls and visitors
So I can get some rest.

They always ask if I'm all right
And what I'm going through.
But seldom take your hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"

You hear me crying in the night
And think my heart will break.
You dry my tears and comfort me,
But "stay strong" for my sake.

It must be very difficult
To start each day anew.
And try to be so very brave-

You lost your babies, too.

He found this on her laptop, when he powered it on. He read it word for word, line for line and then again and again. The tears flowed as he read the words, knowing they came directly from her heart. He knows that she truly is his soul mate, how could a woman that was going through such a difficult time in her own life, take the time to think like this. He knows now, he will never let her go. Ever. He sits there in silence until she comes home from her run.
